EU4Algae is a European Commission-led initiative launched in 2022 to accelerate the development of a sustainable and innovative algae sector in Europe.
It brings together nearly 1,200 stakeholders - researchers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs - to promote algae-based solutions for food, feed, materials, environmental services, and more. As the flagship algae project of DG MARE, it supports policy action, innovation, and collaboration in line with the EU Algae Initiative and the European Green Deal.
