We are delighted to reveal that If Oceans Could Speak – the podcast that aims to foster a collective connection to our ocean - is returning with a new and exciting second season.
After our first season highlighting the Arctic Ocean, this summer the podcast is heading south - to the shores of the majestic Mediterranean sea. The Mediterranean brings new ideas, cultures, voices, and a whole new lineup of hosts and guests to bring the truly diverse part of the world to life, no matter which language you speak.
Today is world youth skills day. At IOCS, young people have been integral to the creation and the vision of this new season. Anna Maria Marino, a Youth4Ocean Forum member, takes on her first presenting role to bring the beautiful Italian coastline to life. Agness Nohra, a Youth4Med Forum member, has developed digital production skills through her editing and transcribing of episodes. We are also delighted to showcase social entrepreneur, Lefteris Arapakis. Not only is Lefteris working to equip fishing communities with skilled workers and environmentally friendly practices, he is the 2021 Youth Ambassador for the Mediterranean Coast and also a passionate Youth4Ocean Forum member. We also share the voice of Jinaj Talj who works tirelessly to empower and develop the ocean literacy of young people in Lebanon. #skillschangelives
Each week, conversations in various Mediterranean languages will dive into the challenges and changes facing the Mediterranean Sea today, and meet the people - the everyday heroes - dedicated to making a difference. This includes swimming along Lebanese shores with Nabil and Lisa, cooking up Mediterranean dishes with Mattia, diving deep under the sea with Greg or discussing future political integration with Blanca. From English to French to Spanish to Italian and to Arabic, there is something for everyone.
This podcast is an output of the EU4Ocean Coalition for Ocean Literacy. Supported by the European Commission, this bottom-up, inclusive initiative aims at uniting the voices of aficionados to make the ocean a concern of everyone. Nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que ''If Oceans Could Speak'' (Si les océans pouvaient parler) - le podcast qui vise à favoriser une connexion collective avec notre océan - revient avec une nouvelle et passionnante deuxième saison.
Après une première saison consacrée à l'océan Arctique, le podcast se dirige cet été vers le sud, sur les rives de la majestueuse mer Méditerranée. La Méditerranée apporte de nouvelles idées, de nouvelles cultures, de nouvelles voix et une toute nouvelle liste d'hôtes et d'invités pour donner vie à cette région du monde très diverse, quelle que soit la langue que vous parlez.
Aujourd'hui, c'est la journée mondiale des jeunes. À l'IOCS, les jeunes ont fait partie intégrante de la création et de la vision de cette nouvelle saison. Anna Maria Marino, membre du forum Youth4Ocean, assume son premier rôle de présentatrice pour donner vie au splendide littoral italien. Agness Nohra, membre du forum Youth4Med, a développé des compétences en production numérique en éditant et en transcrivant les épisodes. Nous sommes également ravis de présenter l'entrepreneur social Lefteris Arapakis. Non seulement Lefteris travaille à équiper les communautés de pêcheurs avec des travailleurs qualifiés et des pratiques respectueuses de l'environnement, mais il est aussi le jeune ambassadeur de la côte méditerranéenne 2021 et un membre passionné du forum Youth4Ocean. Hoy es el Día Mundial de la Juventud. En IOCS, los jóvenes han participado en la creación y la visión de esta nueva temporada. Anna Maria Marino, miembro de Youth4Ocean, asume su primer papel de presentadora para dar vida a la hermosa costa italiana. Agness Nohra, miembro del foro Youth4Med, ha desarrollado habilidades de producción digital a través de su edición y transcripción de episodios. También estamos encantados de presentar al emprendedor social Lefteris Arapakis. Oggi è la Giornata mondiale delle competenze giovanili. In IOCS, i giovani sono stati parte integrante della creazione e della visione di questa nuova stagione. Anna Maria Marino, membro di Youth4Ocean, ha assunto il suo primo ruolo di presentatrice per dare vita alle splendide coste italiane. Agness Nohra, membro del forum Youth4Med, ha sviluppato competenze di produzione digitale attraverso il montaggio e la trascrizione degli episodi. بعد الموسم الأول الذي سلط الضوء على المحيط المتجمد الشمالي، يتجه البودكاست هذا الصيف جنوبًا - إلى شواطئ البحر الأبيض المتوسط الجميلة. يجلب هذا البحر أفكارًا وثقافاتا وأصواتًا جديدة بالإضافة الى مجموعة جديدة من المحاورين والضيوف لإحياء هذا الجزء المتنوع من العالم ، بغض النظر عن اللغة التي تتحدثها.

في هذا البودكاست, كان الشباب جزء لا يتجزأ من إنشاء ورؤية هذا الموسم الجديد.
آنا ماريا مارينو ، عضوة "الشباب للمحيط", قامت بأول دور اذاعي لها لإضفاء الحيوية على الساحل الإيطالي الجميل.
اغنس نهرا, أيضا احد أعضاء هذه الشبكة وتحديدا في البحر الأبيض المتوسط ، قامت بتطوير مهارات الإنتاج الرقمي من خلال تحرير حلقات البودكاست.
يسعدنا أيضًا أن نعرض رائد الأعمال الاجتماعية ليفتريس اراباكيس, الذي لا بعمل فقط على تزويد مجتمعات صيد الاسماك باليد العاملة الماهرة والممارسات الصديقة للبيئة, هو ايضا سفير الشباب لعام 2021 لساحل البحر الأبيض المتوسط و عضو في "الشباب للمحيط" .
نشارك أيضًا صوت جينا تلج التي تعمل على تمكين وتنمية ثقافة وعلم البحار في المجتمعات الشابة في لبنان.
في كل أسبوع، وبلغات البحر الأبيض المتوسط المختلفة، ستتعمق المحادثات في التحديات والتغييرات التي تواجه هذا البحر اليوم ، وتلتقي بأشخاص – او ابطال - مكرسين حيواتهم لإحداث فرق ايجابي. تشمل هذه المواضيع السباحة على طول الشواطئ اللبنانية مع نبيل وليزا، طهي أطباق البحر الأبيض المتوسط مع ماتيا ، الغوص في أعماق البحر مع جريج أو مناقشة التكامل السياسي المستقبلي مع بلانكا. من الإنجليزية إلى الفرنسية مرورا بالإسبانية والإيطالية، وطبعا العربية، هناك ما يناسب الجميع!
هذا البودكاست هو نتاجتحالف أوروبي لنشر الثقافة البحرية مدعوم من المفوضية الأوروبية. تهدف هذه المبادرة الشاملة إلى توحيد أصوات الأوروبيين وجعل المحيط مصدر اهتمام للجميع.
