Alis-Luciana Petrescu Bakış

I am a first stage (aspiring) researcher with a BSc degree in Environmental Sciences, a BSc degree in Law and a MSc degree in Environmental Sciences. As I have experience in environmental management and biodiversity-landscape relationships, I am confident that I can contribute to this programme. I was involved in an investigation and article, as leading author, where we checked the possibility of combining ecological indicators and a novel methodology to predict biodiversity trends in agriculture ecosystems: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ecolind.2020.107012. This article, published in a highly ranked journal, demonstrates my capability to run a research project and to be productive in terms of scientific output. I am also involved, as co-author, in a manuscript (https://doi.org/10.3389/fevo.2021.630151) focusing on Agroforestry Systems and Biodiversity Conservation (Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution). Thus my skills set (combining data collection, data management and analyses, statistics, visualization and programming) could be properly utilized in an eventual project.During my studies and research experience I have revealed keen interest in environmental sciences, innovation and commitment, and I have always been involved in extra-curriculum activities, taking part in numerous volunteering projects and working for few NGOs in the environmental and social fields. I have developed good organizational and communication skills being permanently in contact with different stakeholders such us civil society, governmental bodies, non-governmental and private sector and media.
