Season’s Greetings: The EU4Algae wishes you Happy Holidays!

As we come to the end of a very busy year for the project and the algae community, EU4Algae is happy to look back on a 2023 filled with challenges, accomplishments, and networking opportunities that are crucial to developing the algae sector.

As we take a look at the round-up of 2023 in terms of initiatives and achievements, we see that:

  • The EU4Algae community now has over 900 members.

  • Two newsletters were sent.

  • A virtual EU4Algae Info Session took place on 15 June.

  • The EU4Algae team participated in the EU Open Door Day on 6 May in Brussels (Belgium) and in the European Maritime Day (EMD) in Brest (France).

  • The EU4Algae team were also present at the 1st ever EU Algae Awareness Summit on 5-7 October at the Maison de l’Océan in Paris (France) where a process was kicked off to bring together global and European algae sector leaders to promote and raise awareness on the benefits of algae-based products and algae farming.

  • A quiz was created to raise awareness and acceptance of algae, trust in algae products, and test consumer preferences.

  • Alongside BlueInvest, EU4Algae co-hosted the first-ever e-Pitching session dedicated to the algae sector on 11 October.

  • A new initiative ‘EU4Algae Insider's Perspective’ was launched to highlight and disseminate EU-funded algae projects and/or companies.

Moreover, EU4Algae’s Knowledge Library and Business Corner were kept frequently up-to-date to continue bringing interesting, pivotal and current information and opportunities to the EU4Algae members and the algae community through the EU4Algae Forum

On behalf of the EU4Algae team, we would like to wish our members the Best Wishes for the Happiest Holidays! We are looking forward to continuing our collaborative efforts with you, through our services, and pushing forward the algae sector together in the new year of 2024.
