SAVE THE DATE: The workshop “Emissions, Capture and Utilisation: Principles and Frameworks for Ulva” is on 13-14 May 2024! 

Taking place at the GoSpa Hotel, Kuressaare, Saaremaa Island, in Estonia, this workshop is organised by the Estonian Marine Institute, University of Tartu. 

 

As a part of the COST Action SeaWheat, the Estonian Marine Institute, University of Tartu, invites you to join the workshop "Emissions, Capture, and Utilisation: Principles and Frameworks, and Utilisation: Principles and Frameworks for Ulva"

 

Co-organised by the Estonian Marine Institute, the University of Tartu, Møreforsk, Aarhus University, and the University of Haifaworkshop, the workshop starts at 8:30 on May 13, 2024. The program includes a welcome reception (evening of May 12), three sessions of invited presentations, a poster session, a discussion panel and a site visit to local aquaculture and algae processing enterprises. 

 

The Seawheat Workshop will include the following sessions: 

Session 1 – Algae and Carbon Capture – Political and regulatory setting. 

Session 2 – Quantifying emission capture challenges and valorisation. 

Session 3 – Environmental accounting (Ecosystem Services & Life Cycle Analysis) – the challenge of applying to seaweed.
