SAVE THE DATE: The 5th Seaweed for Health Conference is happening on 22-24 May 2024, in Cork, Ireland!

Seaweeds are a worldwide incredibly rich source of nutrients and bioactives. At the 5th Seaweed for Health Conference in 22-24 May 2024, you will be presented: 

• An interdisciplinary approach to discuss the health-promoting properties of seaweed compounds. 

• Learn about the novel developments for functional ingredients that can be used for the formulation of food, feed, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, and pharmaceuticals. 

Additionally, toxicological aspects and regulatory issues will be discussed, as well as some barriers to industrial exploitation and commercialisation. 

To favour exchange between academia and industry, a small local industry exhibition will be held during the conference. 

Moreover, the conference will include a cooking show, a seaweed collection and a one-day tour along the Galician Coast.
