Registration: EU Survey
The Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) for the EU Fisheries and Aquaculture sector, under the European Commission (DG MARE), would like to invite you to our upcoming workshop, “Navigating the future of EU Aquaculture through energy transition.” This workshop builds on the first round held in February 2025, which identified key challenges and potential solutions for the energy transition in the aquaculture sector. It aims to further refine stakeholder input for the Energy Transition Roadmap, guiding the sector toward climate neutrality by 2050.
Discussions will be informed by insights from the 10 Working Groups under the ETP Support Group, focusing on the current state of transition efforts, innovative solutions, and best practices to accelerate progress.

This workshop is part of a series of events organized by the ETP, designed to thoroughly examine the key challenges and recommendations associated with the energy transition. Each workshop will bring together experts from industry, policy and stakeholder organisations to discuss sustainable practices and innovative solutions for achieving energy efficiency within the aquaculture sector. Participants will have the opportunity to develop concrete solutions together and recommendations to support energy transition efforts in the sector to gather stakeholders’ views that help shape the Energy Transition roadmap. We look forward to your participation!
About the ETP
The ETP fosters sustainable development through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and dialogue, with the objective of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. The ETP brings together experts from fisheries, aquaculture, ports, the fishing shipbuilding industry, processing sectors, NGOs, research institutions, and others to share sustainable energy solutions and best practices.
With the support of the recently launched ETP assistance mechanism, the partnership coordinates discussions across 5 thematic areas, led by the newly appointed Support Group Coordinators—key stakeholders and ETP community members. Working groups focusing on each of the thematic areas will be formed within this community to provide recommendation to the future Energy Transition roadmap to be published by the end of 2025.
