Algae4Schools Online Toolkit & Activities Handbook are coming soon!
Algae4Schools is a co-creation programme developed with schools across EU Member States and associated countries under the EU4Algae initiative. The programme aims to raise awareness among younger generations about the uses and benefits of algae.
As part of this effort, EU4Algae will host an online toolkit with more than 50 resources, including repositories of places to visit, stores and recipes, as well as links to educational materials such as videos, factsheets, infographics, learning modules, and a wide range of classroom activities.
To support the implementation of these activities and the organisation of Algae Awareness Raising Days in schools, an handbook is being developed. It presents 21 activities organised into six sections: Arts, Cooking and Tasting, Playing, Science, Spa, and Story Time. In addition to covering different academic areas, these sections highlight the versatility of algae, demonstrating their potential as creative materials, food ingredients, cosmetic products, and more.
