Within the scope of the DEEP4 B.L.U.E eTwinning project, activities based on sustainability, ocean literacy, biodiversity, and digital citizenship were carried out to help our students build a strong connection with the oceans. The main aim of the project was to enable students to understand ocean ecosystems, develop scientific solutions to environmental problems, and gain active global citizenship awareness.

During the project process, our students worked in international mixed teams and conducted research on topics such as ocean pollution, water conservation, biodiversity, and climate change. As part of World Wetlands Day and World Water Day activities, students participated in lake and environmental cleaning campaigns and scientifically examined water quality by performing pH, nitrate, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen analyses on water samples collected from the lake. In addition, students carried out data analysis studies using AI-supported digital tools and developed STEM-based activities, coding applications, and sustainability-focused projects.

Collaborative learning, project-based learning, STEM education, and field studies were used as the main methodologies of the project. Through online meetings, webinars, international events, and academic collaborations, students communicated with peers from different countries and experienced the global dimension of environmental problems. The project outputs were disseminated through digital exhibitions, posters, presentations, and social media sharing.
