Marine Research Institute of Klaipėda University unites leading experts and state-of-the-art open access facilities devoted for marine research, technology development and innovation. The Institute conducts fundamental and applied research on marine and coastal environment and maritime technologies, and facilitate science, study and business cooperation. The wide spectra of research groups cover the issues of coastal and marine management, environmental modelling, remote sensing and water quality, biological invasions and environmental genetics, aquatic biogeochemistry and ecosystem functioning, blue biotechnology, aquatic resources, fisheries and aquaculture, waterborne transport and air pollution, mechanical and marine engineering.
