Ozeaon is developing a global digital infrastructure to support the restoration of ocean and freshwater ecosystems by enabling access to knowledge, collaboration, and funding for regenerative solutions. The action aligns with the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” by addressing a critical gap between research, innovation, and real-world implementation. The objective is to create an open, transdisciplinary platform where researchers, innovators, organisations, and communities can share knowledge, develop projects, and access funding opportunities that directly contribute to ocean health, pollution reduction, and sustainable blue economy practices. By structuring and connecting fragmented information and initiatives, Ozeaon enables more efficient coordination, scaling, and deployment of solutions. The expected impact includes increased accessibility to ocean-related knowledge and opportunities, improved collaboration across sectors and regions, and greater participation from early-career professionals and underrepresented groups. The platform also supports visibility and funding pathways for projects focused on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity protection, pollution reduction (including plastics), and climate resilience. In addition, Ozeaon is developing an AI-powered Climate Intelligence System to support monitoring, reporting, and verification of environmental impact, improving transparency, data integrity, and decision-making for ocean-related projects. This contributes to more credible and scalable implementation of restoration and sustainability initiatives. By combining open knowledge systems, collaborative infrastructure, and emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain (applied ethically and sustainably), Ozeaon aims to accelerate the transition from awareness to action.
