The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) will promote and support the Mission Ocean initiative. The ESPO Secretariat will undertake the following actions in active support of the Mission.
The purpose of these actions is to help raise awareness of, and engagement with, the Mission—particularly among ESPO members—and to share best practices and projects from EU ports.
The ESPO Secretariat will:
Endorse the Mission Charter and communicate this publicly.
Encourage ESPO members and the wider ESPO network to endorse the Mission Charter and submit actions.
Discuss actions and marine policy within the ESPO Sustainable Development Committee (twice a year).
Share marine-related port projects through the best practices page on the ESPO website.
Participate in Mission Ocean events both as speakers (when invited) and as attendees.
