Navigatio is a non-profit organisation in the city of Santander (Spain) with a focus on promoting and facilitating an active appreciation in the local maritime culture and heritage, as well as in the preservation and use of the traditional wooden boats of the Cantabrian coast. Navigatio promotes partnerships and working relations with local authorities and with organisations, groups, and individuals with similar a philosophy and interest to develop models based on participation and integration in the fields of maritime culture, traditional wooden boats and rowing. The organisation currently has 80 members who row traineras (Cantabrian traditional wooden boats) on a weekly basis and have taken part in events in the North of Spain, Ireland, Italy and France.
