TASC-RestoreMed

TASC-RestoreMed aims for a transformative change by selecting FSTP projects, through an open call, offering holistic solutions where all stakeholders work together on a technological/product/service and/or knowledge component aiming to improve on the environmental aspect of the change and by providing those projects the financial oxygen to realize scale-up and deployment. TASC-RestoreMed will initiate a technological-social-cultural shift, using bottom-up approach by involving all stakeholders, especially the society by giving that society and its citizens, along with other stakeholders, a voice to express their needs, while involving citizens actively in the project, assuring a decent life for all. TASC-RestoreMed will add an economic component to the Blue Doughnut concept, through support and technical assistance on different topics, aiming to realize (i) a sound business/impact case showcasing the potential for a transformative change (Blue Doughnut model) and (ii) a business plan starting from the business/impact case to show the economic feasibility and the fact that the transformative change can effectively happen. With the proposed approach, TASC-RestoreMed will realize a change in focus from Blue Growth towards a Regenerative Blue Economy, in other words implement solutions that contribute to the environment, supported by scientific tools, contributing to the Mission Ocean objectives, protect and restore biodiversity, prevent/eliminate pollution, shifting towards carbon neutrality and maximizing circularity, while having a positive impact and contribution to the economy in the Mediterranean Basin.
