Originally from Madagascar, a large island where the ocean is omnipresent, and living for the last ten years near the coast in France, I have always felt a deep connection with the ocean. For me, the ocean is not just a space that can be exploited for economic growth, but also a common asset that deserves to be known, monitored and protected. This passion has led me to become actively involved in various projects aimed at raising awareness and preserving our marine heritage.
As a member of the ADT4Blue (Advanced Digital Technology for Blue Economy) project, I have come to understand the importance of protecting the marine environment and the ability of advanced technologies to achieve this goal. I am convinced that technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT) and many others, if used properly and by strengthening local capacities, can contribute to economic growth while preserving marine ecosystems.
My involvement in this project has enabled me to see first-hand how technological innovation can transform the management of marine resources. For example, the use of IoT sensors to monitor water quality or blockchain to ensure the traceability of seafood products are promising solutions. These technologies offer more effective and sustainable ways of protecting our oceans while supporting coastal communities.
I am deeply motivated to make a positive change for the ocean. I firmly believe that collaboration and innovation are key to tackling the challenges facing our oceans. Participating in the Youth4Ocean Forum is a valuable opportunity for me to share my knowledge, learn from others and contribute to sustainable solutions for a healthier ocean future.
