The Transformative Blue Economy Playbook aims to inspire change within blue economy organizations by promoting critical agency and fostering shifts in thinking, behavior, and actions. It encourages organizations to explore the business potential of a transformative blue economy and take action, offering a science-based approach and tools for innovation.
Background:Blue economy stakeholders are interested in transformation but lack accessible, consistent information and case examples. This hinders their ability to transition to sustainable practices and capitalize on blue economy opportunities.
Solution:SEAS Kollektiivi is co-developing a playbook, drawing on transition design, futures studies, business innovation, and environmental sciences. Written in plain language, it will feature workshops, learning activities, and case studies to inspire action within organizations.
Objectives:Engage blue sector organizations to adopt transformative practices.
Provide accessible, multidisciplinary information.
Create participatory tools through workshops.
Share case examples from Finland and abroad.
