Tackling water scarcity through citizen engagement

Short description of the action

This 1-day face-to-face event aims bring forward the value of academia-business-civil society collaboration to tackle water scarcity. In particular, the event brings together an academic partner (University of the Aegean), a private company (Web2Learn) and a civil society organisation (Anemoessa) which will enhance knowledge exchange, insights and reflections on challenges and opportunities for effective mitigation of the water scarcity phenomenon through citizen engagement/citizen science. The event will be attended by representatives of public and private stakeholders in the Greek island of Limnos, and is supported by the Municipality of Limnos.

The event will include a series of presentations representing a range of backgrounds, namely: researchers on technologies for water scarcity, private sector representatives, civil society groups, public authorities (municipal, regional), national clusters of water technology. The event will be open to the public.
