Waters' protection through Education and Training

Objective of the action is the promotion of educational and training programmes to inform students, citizens, local authorities, and policy makers about the importance of keeping the Seas clean, by contacting Research. The action aims to encourage volunteers to join the initiative, and be part of the actions taken to protect the aquatic ecosystems, as well as to enlighten the critical issue of uncontrolled infrastructure and its consequences. Anyone who is interested to be involved should be educated, and adequately trained by experts, and younger generations should be inspired to search and find new perspectives in the professional engagement with this field. The action aspires to contact state and local authorities to induce the implementation of measures related to the promotion of ecological tourism, that favours environmentally responsible travelers. Assistance may also be provided to schools and universities to underline the importance of a well-grounded education and effective training.
