"Oceans, seas and the Danube: The blue artery of the planet"

Short description of the action

The aim of the project is to engage the students with environmental issues related to water bodies, including the Black Sea and the Danube, by implementing hands-on activities, innovation and learning.
Activities:
- Art installations using recycled materials - students will create art installations using plastics to illustrate the scale of pollution caused by human activity. These installations will be displayed in the school, public parks or cultural spaces.
- An education campaign ‘Rivers connect us’ - Students can organise educational events where they present the results of their research on topics such as climate change, the biodiversity of seas and rivers and how human activities affect aquatic ecosystems.
- Cultural exchanges with other Danube cities (Russe) - Organising virtual or physical meetings with students from other cities along the Danube. Each city can share how it is dealing with environmental challenges in its region.
- Final product/output - Creating a documentary that follows their work and includes interviews with experts, fishermen and students from other schools.
