This project will use the power of images to present marine science in an appealing way to the public; designed to empower people about their abilities to make a positive change for the environment through knowledge sharing. Showcasing visuals about both marine wonders and marine issues through underwater art and footage. The project aims to promote marine exploration as an inclusive and accessible activity to everyone, representing marine life in the Black Sea and beyond. In the future, looking to become a platform where marine enthusiasts are invited to share their stories and visuals linked to scientifically interesting facts. Depending on its success, potential to organise learning activities through diving, snorkelling or other water sports. The project is aimed at any interested groups in Romania and internationally, and especially disadvantaged groups. Main activities include marine exploration through creative writing, underwater visuals, and illustration of marine life and issues in interesting and captivating ways, but scientifically based. Using my experience as a marine biologist who trained as a divemaster, observing first-hand how marine life performs underwater, and the repercussions of affecting its natural functions. Through specifically selected marine encounters, describe and put in context facts, curiosities and issues in a way that hasn’t been done before to empower people through knowledge. The project would start as soon as possible and will be ongoing.
