I am a PhD student at the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in marine meiofauna. Throughout my academic career, I have focused on the taxonomy and ecology of meiofaunal organisms, contributing to the description of new species and expanding knowledge of benthic biodiversity. My research also examines the impact of human activities on meiofauna, a fundamental group within marine food webs and essential to ecosystem health. I am especially motivated by the need to identify and characterize species in areas targeted for future resource exploitation, such as the Clarion-Clipperton Zone (CCZ), to ensure informed management and conservation of these vulnerable deep-sea ecosystems. Additionally, I am deeply committed to science communication, actively working to raise public awareness of the crucial role of meiofauna and marine biodiversity in maintaining ocean health.
