The goal of the project
This project aims to raise awareness of the importance of the sea and to protect our seas among young generations in Istanbul, which is the only city in the world with a sea passing through it. Thanks to this project, students will better understand how to live with the sea, benefit from it and protect it. There are many opportunities for this in Istanbul.
Culturally, our friendship with the sea goes back a long way. For this, we will also benefit from museums related to the sea.
Activities
The basic approach in the project will be on learning by experience. At the end of the project, products such as paintings and short films made by the students will be produced. Within the scope of the project, they will do various activities to find and feel blue. Some of these activities are; ferry trips, museum visits, spending quality time at the seaside and on the beaches, discovering how people make money from the sea, social responsibility projects to keep the sea clean, and sea-themed paintings. Students will be the ones involved and carrying out all these activities under the guidance of the Supervisor teacher.
