The goal of the project was to understand the uniqueness of the Baltic Sea ecosystem. As an introduction to the project, the students learned about the characteristics of the Baltic Sea and its biodiversity during an online class with the Gdynia Aquarium. , where Then, in order to to broaden their knowledge by in an interdisciplinary manner, the students prepared short presentations that complemented history, physics, chemistry, geography and biology lessons. The next step was to choose the topic, i.e. the title of the project. After many discussions, the decision was made on the title, which reads: "The Baltic Sea and its amazing organisms." The students started searching for information in magazines, albums, the Internet and other source materials and consulting their findings with their tutor. Another activity related to the project was a visit to the Gdynia Aquarium, where during a class in a laboratory the students independently observed various organisms under the binoculars, made their sketches, and then looked for nature inspiration at the permanent exhibition of the Aquarium. The final stage and summary of the project was the preparation of posters related to the subject of the project. The young researchers worked in small groups and then presented their work to peers from other classes.
The works were displayed in the biology classroom.
