The aim of the project is to arouse interest of school pupils in the subject of the Baltic Sea, to extend and systematise knowledge about the Polish sea, its ecosystem, salinity, inhabitants and resources, about fish living in the Baltic Sea and their nutritional and health properties. Topics and tasks to be carried out:
• "What does the sea hum about, or where did the Baltic Sea come from?" - Finding out where the Baltic Sea came from.
• Ecosystem of the Baltic Sea - learning about the animal world of the brackish sea, protected animals.
• "What pollutes the Baltic Sea?- getting to know sources and kinds of sea pollution, what can be done to reduce this pollution.
• As fit as a fiddle” or how much good is in fish". - Learning about the nutritional value of Baltic fish.
• "Sustainable use of oceans and seas"- explaining the human impact on marine ecosystems through the use of resources.
• "Where did amber come from in the Baltic Sea? - acquiring information about what treasures the sea can throw out after a storm.
• Countries on the Baltic Sea - getting to know the countries which are situated on the Baltic Sea.
• The underwater world of the seas and oceans - arts and crafts classes.
• Creative games and educational puzzles for younger children.
• Museum lessons in the Maritime Culture Centre in Gdańsk:
1.Why is the sea salty?
2.How does a port work?
• The art competition "Inhabitants of the seas and the oceans".
• Creation of an educational trail in the school corridor in the form of posters and educational materials.
• Knowledge contest "Do I know the Baltic Sea well?".
