The Blue Wave Initiative aims to enhance ocean literacy and promote sustainable practices among coastal communities in Malta, targeting both local residents and visitors to foster broader environmental stewardship. The project's primary goal is to reduce marine pollution and preserve marine biodiversity by integrating education, community engagement, and conservation activities. Beneficiaries/Target Audience: Local communities and schools Tourists and local businesses Environmental groups and policymakers Activities include: Educational workshops and seminars on ocean conservation Beach clean-up drives and marine biodiversity monitoring Development and distribution of educational materials Collaborative art projects to raise awareness about ocean health Timeline: The project is slated to start in July 2024 and will run until June 2025.
