Ocean Pulse is a long term project where the goal is to share knowledge about the ocean and empower equality in the Arctic.
What are the challenges and how are they being solved? North Norway has long and proud fishery traditions, and in this project we share knowledge about how the community in North Norway work and opportunities within.
The main target group is youth in the Arctic, but also women who work in the fishing industry. Many of them have faced discrimination and loneliness. By sharing personal experiences and knowledge, recommendations can be given to politicians and young women who also wish to work in this field.
Through activities such as workshops, presentations and visits by various stakeholders, researchers and others working in fisheries and aqua-cultural sciences, we can increase knowledge and empower equality.
