Upgrade national wastewater treatment infrastructure

Short description of the action

Uisce Éireann will continue to prevent and eliminate pollution of Irish and European ocean, seas and waters by transforming Ireland's water infrastructure. In 2023, Uisce Éireann is planning to invest in excess of €420m in nationwide upgrades to Ireland's wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure. This will be done through delivering timely, essential, value for money services, employing current best practices and technologies of wastewater treatment and pollution mitigation to help improve the overall health of Irish water ecosystems.
