Corrado Motta

Hi! My name is Corrado, I am 29 years old ocean-lover from Italy. After an initial career in Computer Engineering, I studied a new master named Sea and Society which focused on marine management, marine policies, and sustainability. This made me realize I could combine my two backgrounds to work towards better protection and conservation of threatened marine environments. I love to work with remote sensing techniques as they can really open up to a lot of new information about the ocean. I also love to combine such techniques with field data, both for validation purposes and to not lose the connection with the ocean!In the past, I worked with habitat distribution mapping (e.g. seagrass maps) and species distribution modeling. Today I am focusing on the recreational boating sector which is in urgent need of valuable ideas to reduce the pressure it causes on marine and coastal ecosystems.
