Mar de Fondo is a non-profit organization from the island of Mallorca that is dedicated to raise awareness of the human impact on earth by bringing people closer to the marine environment through sports activities, based on three pillars: health, sport and marine conservation.To achieve this goal we create experiences, educational programs and events that involve environmental awareness and sports, transmitting an active, healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle, so that they appreciate themselves and the environment in which they live. We also are working on the development of sustainable transitions for ports and marinas of Mallorca, based on improving the cultural, technical and social aspects.1. Educational Programs: From School to SEA (September-June), Puerto Portals Sailing School (June-September) and MDF & Seabin Project (anytime of the year). Teaching kids the importance of marine conservation and improving their skills in the marine environment through the practice of water sports.2. Sports and marine conservation experiences, integrated with information of different marine conservation issues in collaboration with island NGO’s. (All year)3. II editionof ourPaddle Out,to protect the marine environment of our island. This time we will focus on the historical problems we have on the "Bahía de Pollensa” specially of the illegal anchoring and uncontrolled dumping into the sea and more events...4.
