4P SHORE & SEAS

4P SHORE & SEAS owns his name to the following : pollution, preservation, protection and prevention. We develop scientific investigations and we use our results to promote new campaigns to raise awareness of the general public to the matter of plastic waste in our oceans by the means of scientific events, communication projects, educational presentations in schools as well as networking with our partners at the local and national level. We have various projects ongoing with more than 20 volunteers working on a regular basis. Our main action for which we have already obtained media attention is "The road of plastic - The Aquitain Challenge". In our last and second edition we walked 270km and picked up more than 15,000 pieces of waste thanks to our own macro plastic collecting protocol inspired by OSPAR one. This resulted in around 700KG of waste that have been collected and entrusted to a recycling company to be treated. The micro plastic was sent to laboratories for analysis following a dedicated protocol. This event happens mainly from July to August, in the summer, enhancing our chances to impact the public of famous touristic coasts. My organisation believes that living on our planet is not a right but a privilege. And we are convinced that alone we go fast but together we go farther.
