I am a marine biologist working at the interface between research, ocean literacy, science communication and
marine conservation. My professional activity is mainly connected to the Department of Life and Environmental
Sciences of the Università Politecnica delle Marche, where I work as a postdoc on marine policy and social
science, and third mission, and to Worldrise Foundation, where I work as a project manager on marine
conservation and restoration projects.
Within these contexts, I contribute to initiatives aimed at connecting scientific knowledge with coastal
communities, schools, public authorities, NGOs and stakeholders. My work focuses particularly on
Mediterranean and Adriatic marine ecosystems, ocean literacy, public engagement, participatory processes for
marine protection, and the communication of marine restoration and conservation actions.
