EU4Algae serves as an information hub for the algae sector, providing stakeholders with updates on the latest news, events, and developments in the algae industry.
The Mission "Restore Our Oceans and Waters by 2030" is a plan by the European Union (EU) to help clean and restore our oceans and rivers. By engaging citizens and driving blue investments through research and innovation, the Mission seeks to help co-design and co-implement solutions that protect our ocean and waters, achieve climate neutrality, and restore nature.
Empowering Youth through Education
Several Mission Ocean projects educate the youngest generations on the importance of preserving our natural resources for the wellbeing of all. BlueMissionAA, as the coordination hub supporting the Mission implementation in the Atlantic and Arctic basin, is at the forefront of efforts to preserve and restore marine coastal ecosystems and biodiversity for greater climate resilience.
Recently, BlueMissionAA developed an Ocean Literacy Booklet, specifically designed to introduce children and the youngest generations to the benefits of a healthy ocean, including the crucial roles that algae and seaweed play. This booklet empowers young readers to understand their role in protecting our natural resources.
