In recognition of World Algae Day, and to inspire communities to take an active part in the European algae movement, today’s is all about increasing the awareness of the algae benefits and opportunities that it can bring to national and regional economies.
To help with this, the European Commission (EC) has recently devoted lots of support to algae sector developments in the European Union (EU). From creating a European Algae Stakeholder platform, EU4Algae, to holding the first ever EU Algae Awareness Summit on 5-7 October at the Maison de l’Océan in Paris, the importance of highlighting and bringing more acceptance to the advantages of algae cultivation and what it brings to people and the regeneration of our oceans.
