Safe Seaweed by Design: Closing Webinar on protocols for safe seaweed farming

During the last two years, Safe Seaweed by Design developed protocols for safe seaweed production looking at food safety, environmental safety and occupational health and safety. They identified and studied potential hazards and tested the protocols in a pilot site in Norway. They found various preventative and mitigative measures, as well as choices to be made to monitor hazards, or before all: to choose the right site. They hope to contribute to making this growing industry safer and provide guidance on reoccurring questions and hazards every seaweed farm faces.

You, working in or with the seaweed industry, would be the main stakeholder who could benefit from these protocols.
