Description
The aim of integrated maritime surveillance is to establish a common information sharing environment towards better situational awareness of activities at sea and to perform their duties better. In 2009 two specific operational pilot projects were launched. The workshop aims to identify priorities and challenges in the Mediterranean and the Northern Seas pilot projects. It will also discuss the extent to which work undertaken by the different Agencies will be conducive to integration in terms of the potential to interconnect existing information systems.
