START OF THE UN-DECADE OF OCEAN RESEARCH

There are happening a number of events celebrating the start of the UN Decade of the Ocean Research.

Fascinating light installation in Hamburg's Speicherstadt in support of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Exploration for Sustainable Development with a circuit to France to Boris Herrmann. The professional sailor and ambassador of the German Ocean Foundation not only looks back on a successful participation in the world's toughest sailing regatta, he also collected important data for climate and ocean research on board his "Seaexplorer".
