[img_assist|nid=2279|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=406|height=264]The CAMIS (Channel Arc Manche Integrated Strategy) project is a Franco-British co-operation project, co-funded by the Interreg IV A France (Channel) – England European programme.
With a duration of 4 years (2009 -2013) and bringing together 19 French and British partners, its aim is to "draw up and implement an integrated maritime strategy in the Channel ara whilst stimulating concrete co-operation between stakeholders".
By contributing to the development of the territorial co-operation and governance in the Channel area, the CAMIS project is implementing the major objectives pursued by the Arc Manche.
It follows on from the EMDI (Espace Manche Development Initiative) project, which, between 2004 and 2008, enabled the Channel area to be acknowledged as a relevant area for co-operation at European level and showcased the possibility for the Channel area to be positioned as a maritime basin for experimenting the Integrated Maritime Policy promoted by the European Commission.

D'une durée de 4 ans (2009 - 2013) et rassemblant 19 partenaires français et britanniques, il a pour objectif de "développer et mettre en oeuvre une stratégie maritime intégrée dans l'espace Manche tout en stimulant des coopérations concrètes entres acteurs".
Contribuant à structurer la coopération territoriale et la gouvernance dans l'espace Manche, le projet CAMIS met en oeuvre, au travers de son programme d'actions, les grands objectifs de l'Arc Manche.
Il fait suite au projet EMDI (Espace Manche Development Initiative) qui a permis, entre 2004 et 2008, de faire reconnaitre l'espace Manche comme un espace pertinent de coopération à l’échelle européenne et de mettre en évidence la possibilité pour l’espace Manche de se positionner comme bassin maritime d’expérimentation de la politique maritime intégrée promue par la Commission européenne.
