Young people (16-30 y.o.)
Language: English. Subtitles in French, Spanish, Arabic & Portuguese
Time: 14:30 CET
Duration: 45-60 min
Organised by All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance (All-Atlantic Ocean Youth Ambassadors)
This event is a hybrid event, combining a video talk with All-Atlantic Youth Ambassadors and an Ocean Literacy Festival beach clean-up #OLFBeachClean where the ambassadors will do a beach clean-up on their local beaches after the video goes live. In the video we’ll talk about our favourite ocean movies, share our thoughts about “Seaspiracy” film, debunk some misconceptions that exist around marine research, talk about our career as young ocean researchers and out research projects and discuss the impact of ambassadorship and leadership on ocean literacy.
We invite other young people to join in the #OLBeachClean and tag us (AllAtlanticYouth) on social media with what you have found on your 5-minute beach clean-up on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
If you live far from the coast, join us online by following our livestream on Instagram here and share your views on the Atlantic Ocean with us.
