The workshop "Ports: Navigating the Challenges of the Energy Transition in EU Fisheries and Aquaculture" gathered over 60 participants from 17 countries, representing a diverse array of stakeholders. These included industry leaders, technology providers, public authorities, academic institutions, fishery and aquaculture companies, NGOs, and key EU bodies. This diversity enriched the dialogue, focusing on discussions on both the hurdles and potential solutions for the energy transition in ports.
The event was a great opportunity for participants to discuss the key challenges that ports and stakeholders face during the energy transition, focusing mainly on fuel uncertainty, financial challenges, and fleet age.
