About the Partners4Ocean Community Meeting

The Partners4Ocean Community brings together organisations, businesses, researchers, educators, NGOs, professionals and other changemakers working to connect ocean knowledge with sustainable growth, innovation and action. The Community provides a space to connect across sectors and sea basins, exchange knowledge and experiences, build partnerships, and strengthen the impact of ocean literacy across Europe.
Through the Community, members can:
- Connect with organisations, professionals, scientists, educators, businesses and changemakers working across different sectors and sea basins;
- Exchange knowledge and experience, sharing activities, resources, good practices and approaches that can strengthen ocean literacy and public engagement;
- Build partnerships around shared interests, challenges and opportunities, including collaborations on campaigns, events, projects and funding opportunities;
- Co-create solutions through the Partners4Ocean Thematic Networking Groups, which provide spaces for members to work together around key ocean-related themes;
- Strengthen blue skills and talent by connecting with the Youth4Ocean Forum and the Network of European Blue Schools, creating opportunities for mentoring, internships, knowledge exchange and collaboration;
- Increase visibility and impact by showcasing members' work through European-level activities, events and communication channels; and
- Contribute to Europe's ocean priorities, including initiatives linked to the European Ocean Pact and the wider EU4Ocean Coalition.
From connection to action
The Partners4Ocean Community is not only a space for networking. It aims to help members turn connections into collaboration and ocean literacy into action.
A key part of the current Partners4Ocean Community is its Thematic Networking Groups, which bring members together around shared topics and interests. The groups are designed to facilitate networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration, and to help members turn common interests into concrete activities and partnerships.
The current themes are:
- Ocean through Books
- Beat Plastic Pollution
- Restore Marine Habitats
- Build Blue Skills
The groups are open to Partners4Ocean members and provide a practical space to connect with peers, share expertise, explore synergies and develop joint initiatives.
A growing European community
Partners4Ocean is part of the EU4Ocean Coalition, alongside the Youth4Ocean Forum and the Network of European Blue Schools. Together, these communities connect people and organisations contributing to ocean literacy, blue skills and the sustainable management of the ocean.
The Partners4Ocean Community continues to grow as a diverse European network, bringing together different perspectives, expertise and sectors. Its strength lies in this diversity and in its ability to create connections between people who may otherwise not have the opportunity to work together.
The Community Meeting is an opportunity to strengthen these connections, build new partnerships and collectively shape the future of Partners4Ocean.
