The Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) for the EU fisheries and aquaculture sector, under the European Commission (DG MARE), hosted an in-person workshop on the 21st May 2025 focusing on “Taking stock of the Energy Transition Partnership towards the roadmap.” This workshop was organised under the European Maritime Day in Cork, Ireland.
The discussion was be informed by the findings and recommendations of the 10 Working Groups operating under the ETP’s Support Group.
Focus of the workshop
This workshop aimed to:
- Review progress: Presentation of the interim findings and recommendations of the Working Group on the Energy Transition Roadmap.
- Analyse initial findings: By discussing preliminary results and identifying synergies to refine recommendations and develop practical solutions for the fisheries and aquaculture sector, focusing on two key perspectives: identifying complementary aspects or missing elements, and selecting the most important recommendations.
