Save the Date: Workshop on Energy Transition in EU Aquaculture – Register Now!

On 15 April 2025, a new workshop will take place as part of the second round of events organised by the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP).

EU4Algae remains a vital information source, bringing together the latest breakthroughs, events, and resources for stakeholders dedicated to advancing algae-based solutions.

 

The Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) for the EU Fisheries and Aquaculture sector, under the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), invites you to take part in the upcoming online workshop: Navigating the Future of EU Aquaculture through Energy Transition.

 

This engaging half-day session will take place on 15 April 2025, from 13:30 to 17:30 CET, and will be held onlineRegistration is now open via the EU Survey platform, and an agenda is available to consult ahead of the event.

 

 

Following up on the first ETP workshop held in February 2025, this session will continue to shape the Energy Transition Roadmap – a strategic guide to help the aquaculture sector achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

What to expect:

  • Progress review: Updates on the work of the 10 thematic Working Groups and their contributions to the roadmap.
  • Preliminary findings: Interactive discussions on initial results, common challenges, and opportunities for collective action.
  • Innovative practices: Showcasing best practices and case studies to inspire scalable solutions within the sector.

 

This workshop is part of a broader series of ETP events that aim to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to co-create sustainable, energy-efficient solutions for the future of aquaculture in Europe.
