EU4Algae is pleased to highlight the first session in ISAP’s brand-new webinar series on applied phycology:
LCA of Algal Products – From Theory to Practice”, taking place online on 16 July 2025 from 16:00 to 17:00 (CEST).

This free webinar offers practical insights into how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is used to evaluate the environmental performance of algae-based systems, covering both microalgae and macroalgae projects.

For over two decades, LCA has been a key tool in assessing the sustainability of algae-based systems. With growing integration into funded projects and broader applications beyond biofuels – such as high-value compounds and integrated biorefineries – LCA now plays a central role in supporting algae’s contribution to the bioeconomy.

However, applying LCA in the algae sector also presents unique challenges, including high system variability, data limitations, and methodological choices. This webinar is an opportunity to better understand these complexities and learn how to interpret and apply LCA results more effectively.

This free webinar will be held online on 16 July 2025, between 16:00 and 17:00 CEST, and is open to all interested in algae and sustainability.
