Thematic Networking Groups (TNGs) are Partners4Ocean's collaborative spaces, bringing together organisations from across science, education, policy, business and civil society to connect, exchange knowledge and build partnerships around the ocean topics that matter most.
Only Partners4Ocean members can take part to TNGs and benefit from a structured space to find collaborators, co-design initiatives and translate ocean literacy into impacts. TNGs strive to connect members across sectors and generations throughout all European sea basins, from the Atlantic and Mediterranean to the Baltic, North Sea, Black Sea and Arctic.
Each TNG hosts webinars that keep the community active, connected and inspired. These sessions are designed as co-creation spaces, featuring expert contributions, interactive discussions and opportunities to shape collective outputs.
Our Thematic Networking Groups
| Beat Plastic Pollution | Turning awareness into action on marine litter means a lot for the ocean. Beat Plastic Pollution translates the challenge of plastic pollution into behaviour change, spark circular-economy thinking and show practical solutions to help private sector and civil society. |
| Build Blue Skills | Connecting emerging talent and employers is a key prerequisite for a sustainable blue economy. Build Blue Skills links companies, universities and training providers to develop blue skills pathways with a focus on emerging jobs, workforce needs, mentoring and apprenticeships, bridging the gap between education and the job market. |
| Ocean through Books | Storytelling and reading are important gateways to ocean literacy. Ocean through Books connects the ocean with literature, pooling together avid readers and reading clubs, authors and illustrators, showing how science and civic engagement can be shared through accessible storytelling that reaches far beyond specialist circles. |
| Restore Marine Habitats | Restoration of habitats is a key concern for ocean literacy. Restore Marine Habitats focuses on public understanding of habitat restoration and on engaging communities, coastal actors, NGOs, aquariums, authorities and businesses from different regions and sea basins, connecting restoration efforts to biodiversity and wider European Ocean Pact priorities. |
