UTOPIA, founded in 2019, is an environmental and citizen NGO aiming to promote territorial transition. It ensures access to reliable, accessible, and understandable information for all, involving citizens in driving the transition. The association is developing the Plastic Encyclopaedia, a comprehensive synthesis of knowledge about the plastic universe. While awaiting its final version, UTOPIA shares its initial analyses through educational animations and interactive workshops designed for youth, citizens, and professionals.UTOPIA is developing new analysis methods to support territorial ecology and is committed to social innovation by experimenting with new modes of citizen engagement: citizen research. This concept aims to place the citizen at the heart of local politics to promote ecological transition. In addition to its local actions, UTOPIA is also engaged globally, including participation in parliamentary reports and an international treaty on plastics. The association aims to disseminate its model of citizen research internationally during an environmental expedition planned in 2024, following the restoration of Aquarelle.
