SUBMON is a NGO that carries out environmental projects related to the conservation, study, management and awareness of the marine environment. Its goal is to reach the sustainable use and management of the ocean and its resources. SUBMON is made up of a multidisciplinary team of specialists and professionals, including biologists, veterinarians, engineers, divers and teachers with 15 to 25 years’ experience working in the marine environment worldwide, adapting well to different cultural settings and working conditions. In recent years SUBMON has advised and carried out studies and actions for different national and international public administrations (Spanish Ministry of Environment, EU DG Environment, US NOAA), companies (AECOM, Foster Wheeler, Red Electrica Española), research institutes (OGS Italy, CSIC Spain) and international organizations (WWF, Interamerican Tropical Tuna Commission, International Seafood Sustainability Foundation), offering maximum quality in all the projects. In December 2019 SUBMON hosted the World Marine Mammal Congress in Barcelona, attended by 2,500 participants from 95 different countries
