EurOcean, the European Centre for Information on Marine Science and Technology, is an independent, non-profit, scientific organization that aims to support European Marine Science and technology advances, by fostering information exchange, cooperation and collaboration among its members, the ocean community and society. EurOcean has two types of members, covering all European sea basins. Full members are European marine research, innovation and entrepreneurship, funding and outreach bodies that are public or non-profit organizations. Cooperating members are organisations with a regional or global reach involved in activities complementary to those of EurOcean. EurOcean’s Full Members are in 10 European countries and have outstanding expertise, technology and experience. They count with reputed experts in many key fields such as Biodiversity, Aquaculture, Renewable Energies and Climate Change, among others. Their technology comprises 135 marine research infrastructures. Their experience includes the participation, over the last 11 years alone, in 246 projects of European Commission Research Framework Programmes, in various fields.
