Aquarium Finisterrae is part of Museos Científicos Coruñeses, a network of three science centers run by A Coruña City Council. Our Aquarium is centered around the life of the Atlantic Ocean. We take our water directly from the bay and curate a diverse collection of species that include algae, invertebrates and fish, many of which are common in our local markets. We are strong advocates for the conservation of the oceans and the adoption of sustainable policies. Our organisation has strong links with research institutions, schools at a regional level, local traditional fishers and other aquaria all over Europe. In 2019 year we reached an audience of 212.000 visitors.
