The Centre for Sea and Society at the University of Gothenburg is a cross-faculty cooperation aimed at initiating and supporting transdisciplinary marine and maritime education, research and outreach. The mission of the Centre for Sea and Society is to:initiate, stimulate and develop transdisciplinary research and education within the marine/maritime field.become the entry point to all marine and maritime activities and increase visibility.be responsible for the cooperation with Chalmers maritime affairs and the Region of West Sweden through the Maritime Cluster of West Sweden.promote increased use of the marine infrastructure for research and education.cooperate with the Swedish Institute for the Marine Environment.
