The aim of the project was to familiarize children with the fauna and flora of the Baltic Sea and its basic features. As a result of various activities, the children created a ceramic installation: an aquarium, which is a fragment of the Baltic Sea containing animals and plants that live there. All elements were made of clay, glazed and fired during workshops. They were created successively as a result of meetings during which children got to know the Baltic inhabitants on the basis of Agata Półtorak's book: "Fairy Tales from the bottom of the Baltic Sea". Then there were ceramic workshops.
In addition, the children went on a trip to the Gdynia Aquarium, where they could visit the local exhibition and take part in workshops with educators about the inhabitants of the Baltic Sea.
In addition, a sea biologist Michalina Pączkowska was invited to the kindergarten, who conducted workshops entitled "Baltic Laboratory". The children did experiments on sea salinity and storms.
There is to be also a picnic on the beach, with an outdoor game and creative games about amber and Baltic treasures. During workshops on the beach, children will see some Baltic creatures live and consolidate their knowledge about them. They'll also learn how to play creative on the beach.
